Atletico Madrid have agreed a fee with Ligue 1 side Rennes for defender Rod Fanni, according to reports from Spain.

The French international will move to the Vicente Calderon for €4.5 million, which will be paid in three instalments at different periods in the next two seasons. He becomes the latest close season signing as coach Quique Sanchez Flores builds for next season.

Intense negotiations between the two clubs have continued over the past few days, with the player himself stating that he was hopeful that both clubs could reach a resolution as soon as possible.
