That's a good question. Maybe immigration bureaucracy?

According to AS, Kun gets his Spanish passport in July and Cabrera will be the only non-EU player in the team. Have they forgotten Salvio or does he have a double citizenship already?

there are 4 players who are non-EU, Kun Aguero, Ibrahima, Diego Costa and Cabrera. Kun is expected to get Spanish passport.

That news story in Mundo Deportivo is a bit strange. As Westmarck points out, it doesn't mention Salvio who to my knowledge doesn't have a double citizenship. In addition to that, I don't think Ibrahima is counted in the non-EU quota, because of the international treaty that exempts African players. Or am I wrong?

as far as I know you point it out right Kaminero.

I belive Kun has dual now the same shold go to Diego Costa who have been here more than two years. So the squad has actualy only two at the moment.

No panic, both Aguero and Godin should get their spanish passports very soon

Agüero could get his passport after the registration closes though (31 August), which could be a problem. But let's hope he gets it in time. If the same goes for Godín, then that's good news.

Cabrera should be loaned out, so that takes care of one more

Don't worry

Ibrahima can play as a EU player due to the Cotonou-agreement (which states that immigrants in the EU from certain developing countries (from Africa, Caribbean and the Pacific) should have the same rights on the labour market as EU inhabitants...

Diego Contrapeso, who will be offloaded anyway...
Aguero, who should get his paperwork together for *** sake
Salvio, who could apply for an Italian passport in the future
